APEX reads across every commercial system to tell your sales teams what to do next, which HCPs to engage, and why.
The structural problem
A day in the life of a life sciences sales rep runs across close to fifty systems, and none of them talk
to each other.
Where it shows up
CRM holds what the last conversation with an HCP was and when the next planned conversation is. Prescription data holds what the prescriber did. The incentive system holds what it was worth. Market data holds what competitors are doing. Between them they hold everything needed to decide where a rep should spend the day.
And none of them answer the question the rep actually has: which HCP to see next, and why.
01
A prescriber has been writing fewer scripts for two
months straight, but looks identical to everyone else on a static call list unless a rep manually hunts for the decline.
02
Last-minute cancellations leave open blocks in unfamiliar
territories. Calculating proximity, field-call rules and drive worthiness manually burns the opportunity window.
03
Two HCPs return with the exact same priority score while
one is actively slipping and the other is growing. The score reveals neither the trajectory nor the next action.
04
A rep learns their position on the payout curve
only when the statement arrives, weeks after the field activities that could have moved the needle.
05
Did I get credit for an HCP that moved? Is this
shortfall execution or market? Where is erosion building beneath an aggregate that looks fine? Each answer means pulling from
several systems by hand.
Introducing APEX
Instead of adding another system, it reads across the ones a commercial organization already runs and turns what these systems hold into a single answer: who to see, why they matter, and how to engage them.
For example, a prescriber writing fewer scripts this month might be noise or might be something for a rep to address right away. Rather than making the rep wonder, APEX provides the full picture: how long since the last visit, how big a part of the territory the prescriber is, what follow-ups are pending from last time.
What reaches the rep isn’t a number. It’s a judgment about whether this HCP is worth the rep’s time today.
And when the rep decides, they act directly in APEX: add the call, capture the outcome, and it flows seamlessly back to the system of record.
APEX is designed around the decision, not the report.
How it works

These resolve into one identity-consistent view: prescriber, territory, brand, period. Integration is configurable per customer, against whatever data they actually have.
Agentic reasoning goes beyond static prioritization
A traditional targeting model optimizes one company-level objective and outputs a static ranking. APEX’s AI Reasoning Engine uses AI agents that start from where this individual rep actually stands against their specific compensation curve. The third column reaches the same action as the second for an entirely different reason, which is the distinction a score cannot make.

The foundation underneath
The foundation that powers everything else. It holds the domain vocabulary and ontologies of life sciences commercial operations: what a decile means, how a call plan relates to a target, why NRx and TRx answer different questions. Without it, a drop in scripts is just a number. Every figure and recommendation across the modules resolves against it.

District and region
A connected view for commercial managers and leaders that separates execution issues from market shift, surfaces emerging risk before it becomes a performance issue, and shows where coaching would make the most difference. Structural issues like formulary restrictions surface alongside.

The domain layer
Every figure, recommendation, and the reasoning behind them depends on knowing industry ontologies natively. A horizontal AI layer can be configured toward life sciences-specific context, but it doesn’t arrive knowing it. APEX ships with the domain already encoded. What’s configured per deployment, IC plan, metric definitions, approved content, is your own, allowing faster scaling across brands.
Governance
Every recommendation traces to the data that informed it, and the AI explains its own reasoning in plain language. Users understand not just what the recommendation is but why it was made. Where APEX cannot answer with the data, definitions or permissions available, it says so rather than guessing. For commercial operations, finance, and compliance stakeholders, explainability is foundational to trust and adoption.
APEX applies controls before generation rather than relying on post-generation filtering. Approved content libraries govern generated promotional content. Pre-approved substitution points constrain permitted variations. Territory, role, and brand permissions are enforced before data reaches the intelligence layer. Questions outside the user’s access or the solution’s available information are explicitly declined, and every decision is logged.
Integration
Designed to work with the commercial systems organizations already use. It does not require a CRM replacement, vendor consolidation, or wholesale technology migration. Where an organization already has a next-best-action or prioritization model, APEX can consume its output. Where it does not, APEX produces its own recommendations from the same commercial signals.
Beyond the data sources, APEX consumes the customer’s own definitions and approved material: KPI and formula definitions, SOPs, the approved content library with MLR metadata, and content compliance rules. Recommendations and explanations resolve to the organization’s own definitions rather than generic ones.
Business benefits
APEX is designed to help commercial organizations achieve measurable improvements across the field and sales operations lifecycle, by putting agentic AI on the questions that currently take days or even longer to answer by hand.
01
Field optimization
Less time navigating reports and reconciling systems, more time in front of prescribers.
Reps act on what changed recently rather than a list built last Friday.
Reps see where they stand and what remains, without waiting for the statement.
02
Leadership efficiency
Whether a shortfall is execution or market, answered in minutes rather than assembled over days.
Managers spend less time assembling information and more time on the reps and territories where it matters.
03
Portfolio visibility
Where the business is losing ground beneath an aggregate that still looks fine, before it shows up in the quarter.
White space and under-engaged segments identified and passed to the teams positioned to act on them.

Frequently asked questions
APEX is an agentic advisor for life sciences commercial operations. It connects CRM activity, prescription data, incentive compensation, and market signals to generate prioritized, explainable actions for field representatives and commercial leaders. Rep Advisor is the core solution available today, with additional management and leadership capabilities planned for future releases.
No. APEX is designed to work alongside existing commercial systems such as CRM, incentive compensation, prescription, market, and data platforms. It connects the information across these systems to make it more actionable.
Most commercial platforms are optimized for a specific function, such as CRM, prioritization, analytics, or incentive compensation, and report on what sits inside their own boundary. APEX reasons across all of them. It reads the signals each system holds, works out what they mean together, and arrives at a recommendation with the reasoning attached. Analytics tell a rep what happened. APEX tells them what to do, when to do it, and how.
No. APEX works with the call plan produced by your organization and helps reps execute it more effectively, including sequencing the day, identifying open-time opportunities, and highlighting accounts that may need attention. Changes to call frequency or target lists remain within the organization’s existing planning process.
No. If an organization already has a next-best-action or prioritization model, APEX can consume its output. If not, APEX’s AI Reasoning Engine produces its own recommendations from the same commercial signals.
APEX constrains generated content to approved-language libraries and permitted substitution points. It does not permit unrestricted rewriting of clinical or promotional claims. Product and clinical claims are grounded in approved content, and the system can distinguish between information sourced from customer data, approved content, and other available knowledge.
Territory, role, and brand scoping are enforced before data reaches the intelligence layer. When a user makes an out-of-scope request, APEX returns an explicit refusal rather than exposing, fabricating, or inferring unauthorized information. Access and denial decisions can also be logged.
APEX is designed to say when the required information is unavailable or outside the user’s access and, where appropriate, suggest a narrower question it can answer.
The initial implementation can work with CRM activity and call-plan data, prescriber-level prescription data, and incentive compensation and attainment information. Market and competitive data can add further context where available. APEX is designed to work with the data a customer has rather than requiring every possible data source.
Implementation time depends on the number of source systems, data readiness, integrations, and use cases involved. Some simpler use cases may be deployed within weeks from kickoff, with additional reasoning capabilities layered in as they are validated. Implementation is scoped around the customer’s own commercial definitions, incentive plan structure, approved content, and operating processes.
Are your reps spending their time finding data and insights rather than acting on them? APEX hands them the day already sorted:
who to see, why, and what to say. It connects the commercial signals you already have, explains what changed, and guides the action
that matters now.
